Introducing the Connected Youth Apprenticeship

As September approaches, along with lots of others, we're preparing for the start of the new academic year. This time of year always brings a sense of renewed energy and focus as schools resume, and we settle back into our familiar work routines. However, this September is particularly special for us, as it marks the launch of our brand new initiative - Connected Youth.

Over recent years, we've become increasingly aware of the gaps in the development of young ministry leaders, not just in terms of the skills they need but also in the opportunities available for them to grow. It's been likened to a "broken pipeline"—there's plenty of work to be done, and while there's a strong desire to invest in this work, finding the right people with the necessary skills has been challenging.

In response, we’ve spent the past several months in partnership with CFC South, dreaming, planning, and preparing to contribute meaningfully to the development of the next generation of Youth Ministry leaders. We believe that through our unique blend of skills, partnerships, and opportunities, we are in a strong position to make a significant impact.

With some generous support from Benefact and Ardbarron Trusts, we are thrilled to be launching a paid apprenticeship programme that will invest in young leaders over the next three years.

September will see the first step in this exciting journey as two fantastic young adults join us. They will be actively involved in schools, assist in leading youth programmes, and fully immerse themselves in the life and work of CFC South. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to pioneer new areas of Youth Ministry, helping to shape the future of our work.

We firmly believe that this is the beginning of something truly significant. As we embark on this journey to invest in the next generation of Christian leaders, we would greatly appreciate your support and prayers. Together, we can help nurture and develop the leaders of tomorrow.
