Belfast YMCA have volunteering opportunities to help us with our mission to support children, young people and their communities.

Who can volunteer?
People aged 16+ can volunteer at Belfast YMCA
Your background doesn’t matter, although we will need references and we will need to carry out an enhanced Access NI check for some volunteer roles (at no cost to you as a volunteer).
How much time is involved?
We know that volunteers are busy, so we’ll work with you and agree a time commitment that works for everyone.
Corporate Volunteering
Belfast YMCA can work with your business to offer corporate volunteering days. Tasks include work in our Community Garden and on our site in South Belfast.
Community Garden Volunteers
Belfast YMCA have a new Community Garden. We run two open session on a Thursday 5pm -8pm and Saturday 10am -1pm. Tasks include planting, watering and weeding.
Youth Club Volunteers
We have a term time weekly Youth Club which runs on Fridays 7:30pm-9pm at our site in South Belfast.. Volunteer helpers are needed to work on a rotation basis. Duties include supervising activities for the young people.
